Nina Barbora Evans, known professionally as Nina Barbora or NB, is a Lithuanian British sociologist, health promoter, author, singer-songwriter, and entrepreneur. She has contributed significantly to biographical research, personal performance, relationships, business, creative coaching, and international cultural exchange.

Early Life and Education

Nina Barbora Evans was born on September 1, 1965, in Vilnius, Lithuanian Soviet Republic, USSR. She is the daughter of Fiodor Niunka (also known as Chwiedar Niunka), an International and Belarusian political figure.

Career

Early Work

Nina Barbora has been active since 1977 as the stage director and screenwriter-producer for the culture-social school and University programs; however, her professional career began in the early 1990s with Burda Moden Magazine and the Vilnius Modelling & Fashion House promoting health-conscious fashion. She managed the Healthy Food Café “Erškėtuogė”, a project run by the Vilnius Health Promotion Center (1997–1999), and the Natural Medicine Center “Šimtažiedis”.

 

Research & Writing

She worked in the TV archives researching journalist Dalia Kutraitė’s programs. In 2004, she was featured in the Who is Who in Lithuania: Prominent Lithuanian Women. Her biographical work culminated in Autoportretai (2002), a book featuring profiles of 22 prominent Lithuanian figures, including Andrius Mamontovas, Stasys Brunza, Bronius Grušas, Rimantas Dichavičius etc. published by Egalda (run by Edmundas Juškys).

 

Political & Cultural Initiatives

Between 2000 and 2009, Nina Barbora ran for seats in the Lithuanian Parliament and the EU Parliament, managing election offices. She co-led the Women’s Forum in the Lithuanian Parliament (2003–2006), advocating for gender equality. She directed the Lithuanian and Foreign Culture Societies Association, organizing events like the Vietnamese Culture Days in 2003.

 

Alternative Medicine and Coaching

From 2007 to 2022, she established and led the British Association of Hirudotherapy BAH, implementing unique therapy into the General Regulatory Council for Complementary Therapies GRCCT collaborating with experts like Albert Ivanovich Krashenyuk, Oleg Kamenev, Magdalene Westendorf etc. She also partnered with Lesley Matille’s Pick Coaching to implement a prison workers coaching program, which was recognized as the Best Project by the Leonardo da Vinci Foundation in 2012.

 

Recent Activities

Since 2014 Nina Barbora has been operating a student recruitment agency called Quadracare QC in London and runs the Quality Connections Matchmaking Hive-Club QCMC. She has worked in education and consultancy across over 30 countries, and recently, she ventured into filmmaking, collaborating with famous producers promoting her TV Series.

Nina Barbora Evans married four times:
